UK’s first singer/rapper-songwriter Afrobeats couple Missy and Lucky introduces a double take with their jaw dropping music. With Missy’s seductive harmony and Lucky’s hair raising rap, they have created an exciting extension to Afrobeats. One might argue that their sound has a pinch of  Afropop a dash of R&B and a sprinkle of Love.  

 

Descending from different corners of Africa, the two artists have created magic with their fusion. Missy representing The Gambia, a land of peace, better known as “The Smiling Coast of Africa”. Lucky - who was born in Zimbabwe and also representing South Africa. Meeting in London the couple got married, and discovered their love for music together. 

 

In 2018 the couple decided to risk it all, and flew to Sweden to record their hit debut single Daddy Zaddy. While working on their music they were still hitting the hard 9-5 to maintain a living. Today they are known as isMissy x Lucky, some call them the “power couple in the game”, “couple goals” and “The New African King and Queen of Afrobeats”.
